Engineering approachPassive fire protection for structures and building services
Passive fire protection is selected for the required fire-resistance rating, exposure conditions, component geometry and the evidence supporting the complete system. KABO GROUP covers survey and calculation, application, inspection and agreed completion records.
A system for each substrate
Structural steel, timber, ducts, cable routes and service penetrations require different tested systems. We compare the actual detail with the design, regulations and manufacturer evidence before defining preparation, materials, thickness or installation geometry and inspection method.
Authorised application
KABO GROUP is part of the Kovlar group and an authorised applicator of Ammokote materials. This connects material production, engineering selection, design, application, quality control and commissioning in one accountable delivery cycle.
Passive fire-protection cost
The estimate reflects area, substrate type and condition, required fire resistance, material consumption, access, preparation and finish requirements. For structural steel, the section factor is also considered. Final quantities and price follow a review of drawings or a site survey.
