From survey to handover

KABO GROUP can survey, design, supply, install, test and hand over the system, followed by planned maintenance where required.

Quality control and handover

During application we record material batches, substrate preparation, ambient conditions, consumption and intermediate measurements. Coatings are checked for thickness, continuity and adhesion; boards and penetration seals are checked as complete tested assemblies.

Handover may include work records, concealed-work records, area drawings, inspection protocols, material documentation and maintenance guidance. The exact package is agreed in the contract and design.

Service penetrations, joints and collars

Mixed penetrations may contain cables, metal and plastic pipes, trays and insulation. Each service requires a compatible component of the tested system, such as boards, sealants, modules or collars.

Movement joints require systems capable of accommodating the specified movement. Geometry, substrate, joint width, backing and sealant depth must match the classified solution.

Survey of existing fire-stopping

Audits identify unsealed openings, unknown products, new services, damage and missing labels. A register records photographs, dimensions, barrier type and proposed remediation.

Where an existing seal cannot be identified or falls outside an approved configuration, cosmetic patching is not sufficient. Removal and a new documented system are agreed.
