During application we record material batches, substrate preparation, ambient conditions, consumption and intermediate measurements. Coatings are checked for thickness, continuity and adhesion; boards and penetration seals are checked as complete tested assemblies.
Handover may include work records, concealed-work records, area drawings, inspection protocols, material documentation and maintenance guidance. The exact package is agreed in the contract and design.
Duct fire resistance depends on the complete assembly, not only the material on flat surfaces: sheet metal, flanges, joints, fittings, hangers, fixings, penetrations and protection method all matter.
The design defines fire-resistance class, duct purpose, exposure direction and permitted system configuration. Unverified changes to mat thickness, fixings or joint treatment may invalidate the classified solution.
Dampers, access panels, wall and floor crossings, transitions, branches and hangers are detailed separately. These locations often determine real system quality and must remain accessible for installation and inspection.
Before enclosure, continuity, thickness or layer count, fixing spacing, joint treatment and route compliance are checked and recorded as concealed work and as-built information.
