KABO GROUP can survey, design, supply, install, test and hand over the system, followed by planned maintenance where required.
During application we record material batches, substrate preparation, ambient conditions, consumption and intermediate measurements. Coatings are checked for thickness, continuity and adhesion; boards and penetration seals are checked as complete tested assemblies.
Handover may include work records, concealed-work records, area drawings, inspection protocols, material documentation and maintenance guidance. The exact package is agreed in the contract and design.
Cable coating and penetration fire stopping are different functions. A cable coating limits flame spread along the route; a penetration seal restores the fire resistance of the wall or floor around services.
For each penetration we record barrier type, opening size, cable composition, tray, required class and future reserve. The complete tested configuration is reproduced with the specified depths, spacing and materials.
Completed penetrations are labelled and entered in a location register. Future cable changes can then be checked and the seal reinstated without compromising performance.
Cable coatings are selected with regard to access, tray fill, loading and thermal conditions. They must not be incompatible with cable sheathing or prevent routine maintenance.
This list explains the regulatory basis but is not a substitute for a project or a complete schedule for every building. Document status, amendments and building-specific requirements are verified when the project starts.
